This Week's Cocktails (10/17/2025):
My boys and I picked cherries during Summer and I obviously made jam. I still have a few jars left and figured I’d use some to sweeten up a margarita. And it’s gooooood! Casamigos Blanco Tequila, Luxardo Cherry Liqueur, house sour and homemade cherry jam.
As the weather changes, it always gets me feeling a little nostalgic, looking back to things that have endured. In that mood, we created this riff on a classic, originally from the 1930s! I love the depth of flavors here, like the cozy layers we are now wearing (at least in the morning!). This beauty is a classic for a reason—lots of quality ingredients mixed harmoniously: Plantaray 5-year aged Gold Rum, Lustau Amontillado, almond-rich orgeat syrup, and a dash of orange bitters. Equally delightful before or after dinner!
So the name has nothing to do with the drink itself. My kids thought it was funny so I went with it lol. It’s giving a tropical yet Fall feeling vibe and I’m here for it. Flor de Caña white rum, Malibu Coconut Rum, organic pineapple and cranberry juice, and fresh squeezed lime.
I love me a Paloma, but it definitely has summer vibes going on. I wanted to take all the things that I like from a Paloma (the bitter and refreshing grapefruit, the bite of tart lime juice, the mellow tequila) and make it more of a sweater-weather drink. Enter housemade cinnamon syrup and Martinelli's Apple Cider. And voilà, a darn near perfect fall drink. The grapefruit, lime, and tequila anchor the drink, but the cider and cinnamon make it a perfect choice for falling leaves and colder temperatures. Hornitos Reposado tequila, Martinelli's Organic Apple Cider, fresh grapefruit and lime juices, and housemade cinnamon syrup.
